My colleagues and I at the Mdivani Corporate Immigration Law Firm were honored to be the presenting sponsor at the Jackson County CASA annual Light of Hope Breakfast on April 11. The mission of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is one we firmly stand behind: "to be a child’s voice in court," and to "recruit, train and support lay volunteers who act as advocates on behalf of the best interests of abused and neglected children."
The selfless volunteers of CASA play a critical role in standing up for our metropolitan area's most vulnerable children by helping them navigate through the child welfare system, advocating on their behalf for educational, therapeutic and medical resources, and working to find them a safe and permanent home.
We had a great time meeting with CASA staff, volunteers, and other sponsors at the breakfast, and we look forward to seeing how these awesome advocates will continue to lead and change the lives of children in the foster care system of Jackson County.
